Every other week we ship chilled & frozen reefer LCL shipments sailing from Port Elizabeth, NJ onboard the M/V Oleander.
The vessel departs Fridays and arrives Mondays. Shipments are ready for collection or delivery on Tuesdays.
The following is the list of charges.
Freight $7.00 per cubic foot (MIN $250.00)

SEDS $45.00 for goods valued $2500.00 or more
Fuel Surcharge $0.50 per cubic foot
Terminals $1.00 per cubic foot (MIN $15.00)
Insurance 3.5% of the invoice value & shipping costs (Optional)

Pickup 1 Canal Road warehouse or we can arrange the delivery.

20 or 40 ft. container capabilities ** Bermuda only imports via 20 ft. containers. However, providing special permission is granted from both the Transport Control Department and the Corporation of Hamilton, 40 ft. containers are sometimes permitted.
Customs Clearance Information
As soon as you place an order for goods, please submit a copy of your invoice(s) to imports@best.bm
We cannot ship any goods without an invoice; thus, if we do not receive an invoice your shipment will be delayed until one can be provided. As this is a requirement of H.M. Customs, we suggest that you have your supplier send you a copy of the invoice at the time of purchase to avoid any delays.
When you import goods into Bermuda, our Customs Clearance Department will processes all required paper work with expert capabilities! We will submit The Bermuda Customs Declaration (BCD) on your behalf as this document must be stamped and approved by H.M. Customs before goods can be released.
All items arriving must pay the applicable duty rate based on the value of the goods invoiced.
A wharfage fee is also payable to Bermuda Customs, of 1.25% of the value of the goods invoiced arriving via Air, Ocean or Courier.
Short-Term Storage of Shipped Items
Goods shipped directly to us are securely housed free of charge for the first 5 days of arrival. Subsequently, customers are charged $1.00 per cube - per day, with a minimum charge of $15 per day, for up to 15 days. If extended storage is required, please see below our Long Term Fee Schedule.
Fine Art and Antique Packing & Crating
We have packed and crated many valuable items over the last 30 years and each move has been unique. We employ experienced, sympathetic staff, who understand the importance of valuable heirlooms; be they sentimental or items of immense value. Size is not an issue; we will pack a Faberge egg or a 3-ton sculpture of David. If you need it packed and crated, we will do it!
Insurance
Although we take every precaution and every care to ensure there are no damages, we do recommend that clients permit us to insure their goods prior to any moving taking place. Moving and shipping is not without some element of risk.
The insurance rate is currently at 3% and is subject to change.
The rate is based on the value of goods + shipping charges.
Regrettably, we cannot insure your goods if we do not in fact pack it ourselves for export.
Our goods are monitored by H.M. Custom Authorities thereby substantially expediting the
customs clearance process which is seamless, and enhances our customer experience.
We have comprehensive accommodations in that we offer an additional 7,000 sq. feet of
temporary or long term storage. As you ship directly to BEST you can store with us and by only paying for the space you need, you save capital.

With close to 20,000 square feet of warehouse space locally,and over 100,000 in our U.S. depot, we’ll accommodate your needs for long or short-term storage. Household goods, office equipment, seasonal merchandise, industrial machinery or sensitive equipment – our warehousing provides safe, secure storage with the latest security and hazard-protection systems.
Our computerized tracking system efficiently records the precise location in the warehouse – keeping stored valuables ready for quick retrieval.

BEST Shipping is now registered to supply and build custom crating that meet the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packing Materials in the International Trade (ISPM15) is one of the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures adopted by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC). The IPPC is an international treaty to secure actions to prevent the spread and introduction of pests of plants and plant products, and to promote appropriate measures for their control. ISPM15 is a standard on which many countries WPM (wood packing material) regulations are based upon.
